L’Ancêtre cheese factory celebrates 30 years of organic production
Bécancour, June 14th, 2022 – 30 years of dairy products production and transformation were celebrated on Sunday in Bécancour during a family party organized to mark the event. DuBreton and Inewa, two other certified organic companies were also present, showing evidence of the close ties between companies in this field of activity in Quebec.
2022 is a very important year for the entire agri-food field related to the production and processing of organic food in Quebec and Canada, as this year marks the 30th anniversary of L’Ancêtre Cheese Factory in Bécancour. The company has come a long way since 1992, when pioneers in the dairy sector decided to join forces to change things and imply their vision of a more sustainable and responsible agriculture, beneficial not only to people’s health, animals, soil, but also to the environment.
